What is Swing Trading?
Swing trading is short-term trading usually lasting today's date the 20 days. It takes advantage of reversals in both directions up or down.
The chart of Boeing (BA) works quite well with the RSI indicator and gives several valid signals throughout the year. It's worthwhile to note that when a RSI single blow the 30 30 or above the 70, often had a corresponding MACD signal as well.
The trick here, is two enter a trade after we RSI goes above 70 or below 70 in starts to return into the direction it came from. On my chart I programed little "dots" on the RSI to give a clearer picture
You can use swing Trading for stocks, futures, and options. I mostly trade stocks but I also swing trade options as well.
I use technical analysis and indicators to help me find the swings. Specifically I use the MACD and the RSI indicator to identify trade entries. Lately I've been using fundamental analysis as well to help me identify key levels and key market sentiment. Combining both fundamental and technical analysis as really helped my trading bottom line.
